The Pacific-10 Conference, is comprised of ten football teams that all play in the NCAA Division-I college football league. Its members are: The Arizona State Sun Devils, The Arizona Wildcats, The California Golden Bears, the Oregon Ducks, the Oregon State Beavers, the Stanford Cardinals, the UCLA Bruins, the USC Trojans, the Washington Huskies, and the Washington State Cougars. Created in 1959, as the Big Five, the Pac-10 has always been a competitive conference that has been the home to some of the best teams in college football.
The Pac-10 is the only NCAA Division-I conference to be able to boast an in-state conference rivalry for each of its members. Each match-up is named and the Pac-10 teams play for a trophy or cup. Many of the match-ups are set up on a point system where each sporting team (basketball, soccer, baseball...) gains a point for beating the opposing team. However, for all of the schools the Pac-10 football rivalry is the fan favorite and all can draw large crowds.
In past years the University of Southern California Trojans have dominated the conference winning 7 of the last ten Pac-10 Conference titles, three are shared. All of the other teams are competitive though, and both Washington State and Arizona State give the USC Trojans a run for their money every year. The Pacific Ten conference is the host of several noted post-season bowl games. Most famously the Rose Bowl which is a match-up between the Pac-10 number 1 team and the Big-10 number one team. The Pac-10 also hosts the Holiday, Sun and Las Vegas Bowls.
No matter which team is playing, the Pacific Ten conference teams are always great. Buy Pac-10 tickets now and get in on all the west coast football fun!
