Brandon Tatum, #34 for the Arizona Wildcats football team, was born on April 22, 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas. While attending Dunbar High School, Brandon Tatum played both safety and wide receiver. SuperPrep All-America rated Brandon Tatum as No. 40 DB prospect, and All-Southwest, listed No. 32 in the region. Brandon Tatum made a good impression in the 2005 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, for the top 78 players in the nation and earned Fort Worth Star-Telegram all-region honors.
In 2005, Brandon Tatum played as a true freshman on the Arizona Wildcats special teams, with 11 games of experience, making four tackles on kicking units. Brandon Tatum was awarded a medical hardship year for 2006, after two early Arizona Wildcats appearances. In 2007, Brandon Tatum played 10 Arizona Wildcats games as a backup and finished with seven tackles, a career-high five of those coming against Washington State. Brandon Tatum played in games against Washington, Washington State and Oregon in 2008.
