Cam Nelson, #20 for the Arizona University Wildcats football team, was born on May 27, 1988 in Dallas, Texas. While attending Kimball High School, Cam Nelson earned Associated Press first-team All-State 4A in 2005, First-team All-District 13-4A and Second-team 4A All Region II. Cam Nelson started playing corner three games into his junior year and had a reported 4.5 speed. As a track athlete, Cam Nelson won 110 hurdles, second in the 300 and third in high jump in district meet as a junior. With 63 tackles, nine interceptions and three forced fumbles as a senior, Cam Nelson was a two-way starter, receiver and quarterback on offense.
Standing at 6’1” and weighing 202lbs, Cam Nelson lettered as a true freshman Wildcats special teams player and backup safety in 2006 for the Arizona University Wildcats football team. Cam Nelson also had a quality true sophomore year when he started all 12 Arizona Wildcats games at the strong safety spot in 2008 and checked in with the fourth-best tackle total on the Arizona Wildcats squad at 60.
