Mike Turner, #2 for the Arizona Wildcats football team, was born on October 8, 1987 in Manteca, California. While attending Manteca High School, Mike Turner earned Cal Hi Sports first-team All-State in 2005 and Stockton Record Player-of-the-Year. Mike Turner was a three-year starter at cornerback and wide receiver with seven interceptions, seven PBUs and 49 tackles as a senior. During his career, Mike Turner returned three interceptions for touchdowns and had three punt returns for touchdowns, which helped hold his opponents to a reported 85 yards per game passing his senior year.
In his first year at Arizona University, Mike Turner redshirted although he was a contender for duty and was expected to contend in the secondary after playing defensive back in the spring 2007 season, where he had three catches for 10 yards, and one reverse run for six yards. Mike Turner did not play for the Arizona Wildcats football team because of an undisclosed suspension in 2008. This season, Mike Turner will contend for a starting role as an Arizona Wildcat cornerback, likely on the strong side and could factor in the Arizona Wildcats return game.
