Scott Smith, #11 for the Arizona Wildcats football team, was born on June 16, 1988 in Kailua, Hawaii. While attending St. Louis High School, Scott Smith was the seventh-best prospect in Hawaii by Rivals.com and selected to the All-Far West team by SuperPrep Magazine. The Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star Bulletin both selected Scott Smith as first-team All-state at defensive end. As a senior, Scott Smith earned league Defensive Player-of-the-Year, recorded 14 sacks and had an interception return for a touchdown. Standing at 6’6” and weighing 260lbs, Scott Smith helped lead noted St. Louis to an 11-1 record in 2006. Scott Smith was also a high school basketball standout for the Crusaders in high school.
In 2007, Scott Smith redshirted the football season as a freshman defensive lineman at a college in California before joining the Arizona University Wildcats football team in fall of 2008. Scott Smith will compete for a potential role this year with the Arizona Wildcats after sitting out a transfer year and missing contact work in spring ball of 2009.
